Ankit's Lahman DB Mods for OOTP 5 & 6

I have created four variations of the Lahman DB 5.0, the Ankit DB, Career Averages Ankit DB, Normalized Ankit DB, and Normalized Career Averages Ankit DB. Download links are at the bottom of the page.

Ankit DB - modifies the original database so that players will import during their first year in which they played significantly. This leads to OOTP assigning better ratings for ability and talent, thus the player will perform more closely to how he performed in real life. You can read on the specific changes here.

Career Averages Ankit DB - This database uses Ankit DB to get the single-season career averages for a players' stats (Batting, Fielding, Pitching and FieldingOF). It then applies this to all years he played so that no matter when you import a player, his ratings for ability and talent will be based off of his career averages. One should use this database to import rookies once they have set up a league with the Ankit DB. NOTE: Do Not use the Lahman DB to start a historical league and then use the Career Averages DB for importing rookies. If you use the Ankit DB and the Career Averages Ankit DB together, you will get better results in terms of player statistics than if you were to use the Lahman DB 5.0 or 5.1 alone. Instructions for using them together are included in the "Read Me First.txt" file in the zip.

Normalized Ankit DB - This database attempts to equate players stats from 1876 to 2002 to stats put up by players today. It is an experimental database and is created to only for fun.

Normalized Career Averages Ankit DB - Similar to the Career Averages Ankit DB, this database uses the Normalized Ankit DB to get the single-season career averages for a players' stats (Batting, Fielding, Pitching and FieldingOF). It then applies this to all years he played so that no matter when you import a player, his ratings for ability and talent will be based off of his career averages.
