Saturday, December 14th, 2024: Chicago (A) Wins Lottery for MR Naylor
Chicago (A) fans could barely contain their jubilation as William Naylor, considered one of the best at his position, opted to sign with the club.

The deal, estimated at $3,630,000 over 1 year, is seen as a masterstroke for the General Manager's office and could well go down as one of the shrewdest moves in club history.

In his 443-game career, Naylor's won-lost record is 28 wins and 23 losses with a 4.47 ERA and 395 strikeouts in 558 innings. He has been credited with 83 saves.

Friday, September 27th, 2024: Gilling Fires Shutout in Chicago (A) Victory
Eric Gilling of the Chicago (A) White Sox put the clamps on the opposition and held the Minnesota Twins scoreless in a 5-hit whitewash.

"He's got some good stuff, but we should have done better than that," said the Minnesota skipper after the 7-0 loss.

Gilling was on target most of the game and finished with 7 strikeouts and 3 walks.

To date this season, Gilling has a record of 1 win and 2 losses and a 4.56 ERA. He has appeared in 5 games and struck out 20 in 25.2 innings.

"Believe it or not," said Chicago (A) center fielder Dave Wagner, "they threw me some good pitches today."

That would be hard to believe for anyone who saw him dispose of the Royals with a great 5-hit performance.

"He made it look easy," said the Kansas City manager, who saw his team fall to the Chicago (A) White Sox, 10-5.

"Hats off to him!"

Year-to-date in 148 games Wagner has compiled a .244 batting average with 124 hits and 12 home runs. He has also scored 72 times and knocked in 61 runs.
